Gej replicated this in 2011. Obi won SE massively, struggled to win SS but lost NC. Apart from Taraba , he failed to get 25% in any core northern state. Tinubu won three core northern states and even though kwankwaso won Kano, Tinubu buried Atiku in Kano. Atiku won core north overall by less than 100k votes which was useless.
