Seems you're just pulling my legs. Do you need a prophet/ess to free yourself from the devil? No! When you stop committing sin, the devil won't near you. Everything begins with you. If you vote an evil or wicked leader into political positions, either out of sentiments or after collecting money, no amount of prayers from the holiest prophet/ess will make things work for the nation.God isn't like you and I. God has given us the right to choose. If we chose wrongly, we'd receive the consequences. If we stop collecting money from them, or we stop voting based on...he's from my tribe or family, Nigeria will function. I read earlier today where Dapo Abiodin was being berated for poor infrastructure in Ogun. Did the people not see that before they voted him? Let's assume they made a mistake in his first term, what happened in his 2nd term? Same is happening at the federal level. Tinubu who committed a drug-related offence in which he forfeited so much money, someone with highly controversial past said you should vote him and you did, out of sentiments, which prayers can change him? We'd continue to bear the consequences until we do the right thing.
Whereas, there's Seyi Makinde in Oyo who's doing wonders. Oyo people didn't pray but did the right thing. They deliberately chose makinde. Are they not enjoying him today? Yesterday it was about Abia state. The former governor they voted in was only distributing kerosene and eating up their money. They stopped voting pdp and voted Otti. See how happy their people are. Did they need prayers to change Abia's situation? No! People shunned the pdp's inducement while some collected the money and still voted Otti instead.
If we can do the same at the federal level, everything will fall in place without prayers. Most of those in the helms are in cult. Many of them feed on human parts and use same for rituals. How do you expect God to intervene after you've deliberately put them there? It's you, who should use your hand and conscience to male things right and you'd see God at work. Praying for them, the nation under their istration or their government is praying amiss. You can't change the devil cos he's God's enemy. Enough said.
offpoint. verbosity does not mean substance.
if you say prayers are not needed to change a country for the better, how then does a person need a prophetess to pray before he or she can get visa?

I've responded to you already. Since you didn't get my point, let me expatiate...
When Nigerians are ready for a functional country, they'd do the right thing by voting a good leader. Prayers aren't needed. Its us who need to change. God cannot answer when you deliberately chose bad over good. If you like pray till eternity.Nigeria won't be the first to experience hardship. Ghana did, and their people flooded Nigeria. Benin republic did and they sent their children to Nigeria for maiden job. Today, they've all returned. Any Ghanaian you see around has a more credible job he's doing. Cotonou maids have all returned. Cfa that used to be a worthless currency has left Nigeria far behind. I used to exchange 1000 naira for 10k cfa but today, cfa is much more valuable than naira. What's the cause....the consequences of choosing a bad leader out of sentiments.
In africa, Nigeria has the highest number of professionals who had fled the country why? You can tell. These are those who should have developed nigeria. What of multinationals who used to psy heavy taxes to the govt but had left for other african nations? No amount of prayers would bring any investors. Once we have a hold leader, they'd come uninvited. Ethiopia has received 2 major multinationals who had left Nigeria. They're also a populous nation. They didn't pray for them to come from Nigeria.
The moment Ghana chose a good leader, all of them returned home. Before, from porto novo down to cotonou, gendams were at every bus stop collecting bribe. Kerekou came and changed everything. The man that succeeded him continued and all the nonsense stopped...leadership says it all.
if you say prayers are not needed to change a country for the better, how then does a person need a prophetess to pray before he or she can get visa?

Why do people ignore their conscience and vote the wrong leaders all the time, along the sentiment lines? Why are people deliberately choosing evil over good, even when they know his evil past? Is that God's fault?
that is not what I asked you:
if pastors can pray for people to get visa, why can they not just pray for nigeria to function well so that people can have a good life and stop being desperate for visa?

It's obvious, some Nigerians suffer from short memory. When Government was paying subsidy, Nigerians at the time still were complaining about everything, long queues, fuel scarcity, no roads, no light, lack of health care, frequent ASUU strikes, poor renumeration, low quality Education, inflation etc. And now that the subsidy fraud has ended and more money are going into FAAC, more funds being channeled into infrastructural projects, including welfare and increase in wages and salaries of workers. There's systematic and gradual improvement in the economic outlook. You may complain about rise in food, transport, electricity costs, though genuine, however, these are fundamentally as a result of human factor such as banditry/terrorism. The power sector was poorly privatized which subsequently needed Government intervention. The bottom line is the fact that economy is on the path of right direction, tough but promising.
PS - the ignorance here is many quoting me do not know that subsidy funds saved goes into federation where it's shared among the states and the federal government. Your Governors are collecting their share of it, Soludo was the latest to validate it. Go and ask your Governors how the increased FAAC is being used.
-Kiss the truth!
You may complain about rise in food, transport, electricity costs, though genuine, however, these are fundamentally as a result of human factor such as banditry/terrorism.
How is electricity cost a result of banditry and terrorism?
how is transport cost the result of banditry and terrorism?
how is the cost of milk, milo, rice, biscuit, cement, spagetti, fish, chicken, maggi, etc a result of banditry and terrorism?
how has tinubu successfully tackled corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education?

Prayers work, oh yes! But how clean are the port holders? There's someone who was told that he'd receive his visa. He was so happy, went to beer parlour to celebrate with friends what the man of God whose prophecies hardly fail had said. He later invited his gf over for the weekend. The following week he went for his interview and visa application was rejected. He's crying like a baby . He went to the same man of God with the port and the pastor asked, who's Bridget (not her real name) and he said its his gf. He asked, what did you do with her ahead of your interview and he said he slept with her.
Again he asked, how many people did you tell you're going to the embassy and he said his friends. He said the moment he was stepping into the embassy, did he notice any strange thing? He first said no and the pastor said, think deeply. He said yes, that a pack of unseen cobwebs mobbed his face but he couldn't remove them as they were invisible. He said that was what led to his rejection cos they had gone ahead of him. He said he should reapply and not tell anyone and also not furnicate anymore. He did this about 3 months later. My guy fasted when going to the embassy. He got a multiple entry visa, without interview stress.
Be right with God in all you do , stay away from sin and don't share your news with anyone until everything materialises. They won't help you anyway

Tinubu does have good intentions with is gameplan. Executing it was where the issue came to be. Nigeria is not Lagos and Tinubu got to know that in a brutal way. About who surrounded him with sycophants, I believe even if you are a leader in any parastatal, you will surround yourself with your supposed trustees and loyalist. Most of this so trustees are unfortunately not worth trusting as they will feed you with ego massaging lies to make you feel good about yourself.

Look bro, a minister is more concerned about power than the president himself.
I'm a patriotic Nigerian and if Nigeria get better, it's my joy. If you're president or even leader of an organisation, you will understand what it means by uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. When I was young I know former governor of Oyo State ALAO AKALA slapped his health commissioner on life tv. Health workers were on strike and the commissioner was telling the governor something else. The governor got to know on live tv. You might argue a leader needs to be up and doing and double checking, but that's why ministers and other government workers are there. And in Tinubus case, I doubt anyone around him is telling him the reality. Or the ones telling the reality as been labelled enemies to him.

Tinubu might have good intentions, but I doubt he has the know-how of making it into limelight. He kept making economic mistakes upon mistakes. Another problem is the presidency is surrounded by sycophants. This folks have nothing to loose in the failure of his government. If Tinubu can get ahead of this sycophants, he might make better meaning.
Reminds me of a past commandant in the defence Academy, Emeka..... Won't mention is surname. The general will go to lines by midnight to make sure cadets were not serving job. He will even wear Salala and different batallion vest to mix with cadets in mess. He made reforms and double checked what CBC DMT and principal officers were telling him was the reality. His time was the best in academy to cadets, soldiers and even civilian staffs. Bottomline, its not about making reforms on paper, making sure the reforms are carried out makes it worthwhile.
