You’re busy mocking the U.S. for struggling in Afghanistan, but did you forget that the Soviet Union, a literal superpower at the time, also got its teeth kicked in by those same ‘goat herders with rusty AKs’? The USSR lost around 15,000 troops, billions of rubles, and its entire reputation before collapsing shortly after.
