That woman on exile in London with Caribbean port was just one, out of 100 thieves stealing on a massive scale during Jonathan’s government. Even Jonathan let us know that stealing is not corruption. Jonathan and all the people that served during his time deserve to be arrested. Just let that man enjoy his theft in peace o.
You are right bro. Immediately Jonathan left, stealing stopped. Everyone who served after government should be given a national award for maintaning intergrity and being currupt free. All that served under Jonathan should be buried alive.

Politicians are the most selfish and wicked individuals on earth. The better part of the hell should be dedicated to them. I wonder how these people sleep at night knowing fully well they are subjecting masses to untoward pains and anguish.
What about those that ed Buhari's 8 years misrule only to realise how bad Buhari was after their Lord and saviour took over. They are singing praises to a givernment that has made 70 percent of the citizen hungry. Those once for me are worst than the politicians.

The hypocrisy in this country is very shocking and embarrassing. President Jonathan did everything to remove subsidy. He even organised a town hall meeting in Lagos to educate the public on the importance of removing subsidy. Unfortunately, the same people who protested against his government and labeled him all sorts of derogatory names are in power doing worst thing.

The Prof. Soyinka, Pastor Adebayo and many others (Gov. Amechi, Oshiomhole etc) criticised his government vehemently have refused to talk. Anyway, I don't blame them. I blame the masses, who have refused to read in between the line. I blame the masses, who have allowed themselves to be used. I blame the masses who have religion, ethnicity, nepotism to take centre stage.

Unfortunately, it will continue. The same person apologising never saw anything during President Buhari's regime. The same person never for once condemned his father for his high handedness. It is well.

We only criticised when it doesn't affect us. Like one author said, "opportunity maketh a thief. The man who has nothing to steal calls himself a honest man".

Never blame the masses, this present crop of leaders are from the devil. They have mastered every form of deception. Did you listen to our Nobel laureate speak about the Tinubus? How they made him comfortable when he came back from exile. Even the fiery Falana cannot openly criticize Tinubu. A lot of them have benefited from him big time. Ameachi, El Rufai are the only ones openly against govt, and the reasons...are just too obvious. A revolution is only what can save us now, the masses are to broken right now

You criticized Jonathan but never criticized Buhari and now working against Tinubu. The outstanding issue is that only a very few politicians like Mr Peter Obi care for the welfare of the masses.
Leave him na. He thinks he's smart.

They didn't say anything about Buhari but now they are activists.

Jonathan was a gentleman but they took his meekness for granted.

Shame on all of them trying to call him good now, they should enjoy the monsters they encouraged to power.

They can destroy themselves for all I care.

Tinubu may have been wrong in some things but he's a far cry to what the devil Elrufai is.

And to his irrelevant son, you don't matter.

Nigerians do not get why GEJ, Buhari and tinubu are bad leaders. They only see short term things, not long term things.

As for me, we have never had good leaders, and we will never have good leaders until we learn that selling resources does not a strong economy make.

A blanket condemnation of Nigerian leaders is just patriotic preening and pandering for public approval. The real and unpleasant truth is that THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE are the ones that should be condemned for their addiction to SOCIALIST policies.

Presidents Babangida and Obasanjo did very well for Nigeria. President Jonathan to his credit continued their reforms and even took some very difficult decisions that went against the wishes of the Nigerian people and so he lost the Presidency. The many positive economic policies they initiated have been repeatedly explained on this forum. They produced very good RESULTS felt by ALL Nigerians. It's no accident that Nigeria became the Poverty Capital of the World AFTER President Jonathan left. Everyone knows now that the 15 years of PDP were better than what Nigeria is living through now.

The problem in Nigeria is THE FEUDAL-SOCIALIST SYSTEM and it's unfortunate that the vast majority of Nigerians have become natural socialists. That is why Nigeria has ALWAYS been a poor country. The Nigerians people NEVER any policies that go against the socialist structure of Nigeria, that's the REAL problem. Socialist policies create scarcity, inefficiency and POVERTY in the long term in any sector in any country.

The ONLY reason President Tinubu revoked petrol subsidies and devalued the naira is that Nigeria was BANKRUPT when he assumed power and the bankruptcy was caused by policies he campaigned for from 2012 to 2015.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Well, since you implied that tinubu removing subsidy was evil...

There was an attempt in the past to remove fuel subsidy and it was criticised by the same crop of leaders incharge of power. Is that not hypocrisy?

We're all saying the same thing. Using deception to manipulate the masses and it will continue if we continue to allow it.

Subsidy money are shared to your Govs. So, ask your Govs whenever you see them.

So Tinubu promised he will be remiting the subsidy fund to the governor when he knew they are all thieves like himself. You guys are pathetic and enemies of this country. Every citizen must unite to uproot Tinubu and APC comes 2027. Let's now see how you guys will live.

Can you repeat that name you associated with "..care for the welfare of lasses.." for political eye service or for reality to confirm whether you are not mistaking that name to Peter Obinson that was caring during Biafra ?

Let him continue to be caring, it is part service for humanity to humanity, but he shouldn't mistake it to being elected as next president at moment. He is not competent enough at moment to take that role, he should try again when next it comes back to south to slug it out with south south

Oil price increases gave us the illusion of a big economy

You're not being sincere. Oil price has been relatively high from Buhari tenure till now but yet both them fail woefully..

If you have backed subsidy removal since 2012, why do you keep blaming ALL leaders when YOU know some leaders tried to remove subsidies?

1) Jonathan tried in 2012 but was forced into reverse by riots and strikes inspired by TRIBAL opposition to his Presidency.

2) Obasanjo SOLD the NNPC refineries, the transactions was completed and paid. There was a public outcry that FORCED the next President Yaradua to REVERSE the sale when and refund the monies paid.

Why the deliberate argumentative lacuna?

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Because Try is not the same thing as Done.

And all our leaders are bad because most of them at the end ran an economy based on selling stuff whose prices we don't control

Read the article the books , hold the oil. Opened my eyes to a lot of things in 2011. Helped me realize why people every time called all our leaders 'the worst ones we ever had'. Led me to the concept of Dutch disease.

That's why even though Tinubu did remove subsidy, he still is a bad leader.

Also, I can't back both GEJ and Tinubu, and also back Buhari when all three of them, for example , the concept of NA padding the budget. Among other corruptions.

I get high standards. And yes, it is because I am tired of hearing the same thing over and over again over decades.

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

From 2014-21, oil prices were low, and were only high from 2021-22, after which they fell again.

Keep in mind that

1. Because of our large populaiton and government dependence on oil revenue.....we have to have oil at 103-150 dollars a barrel on a consistent basis for say one year before we can have a budget of no borrow borrow.

2. When oil prices fall...and are low...we borrow....and when oil prices rise again, we have to repay those loans...which is why we don't see any benefit from high oil prices.

3. OIl prices this year have been too low for us. Until 2-3 days ago, oil has been below 75 dollars per barrel, the set point for our budget, and below 103 dollars...the price I quoted in point 1...which is why our borrowing has increased/

4. And since you wrongly think I am defending tinubu....let me introduce you to a concept you don't know about...Dutch disease...which has ailed NIgeria since independence.

We have been borrowing for ages. Especially when the price of whatever we sell falls below what we need it to be. And for Nigeria, that has been the case since 1960, and that is why even GEJ Borrowed...despite high oil prices...because they were not HIGH ENOUGH.

IT is why Tinubu and Buhari are both even worse than PDP, cause in 2015, they had a chance to end our dependency on oil., and put us on the road to an economy based on industrial exports. Osibanjo promised as much in a beauty speech in 2015. But instead, they borrowed and borrowed to make up the difference caused by low oil prices, which is why we are in the mess we are in today.

SO, Mr Sincere, how does that make me an APC er? I am here bashing them for being the cause of our mess, yet because you don't get it, you call me Mr Insincere.

You guys should stop being addicted to oil.
